FUSION Electronics and Stabicraft have announced a partnership which will incorporate Fusion's world leading audio technology into the award winning range of positive buoyancy aluminium boats.

The FUSION system chosen by Stabicraft was recently nominated for the prestigious Dame Award for innovation at last year's METS show in Amsterdam.

Paul Adams owner and MD of Stabicraft said: "With both companies based in New Zealand we are able to share ideas in design and system placement right at the early stage of concept, to ensure the very best possible outcome".

Paul Adams and Peter Maire, principal shareholder of Fusion Electronics and x-founder of Navman, have both been recognised for their contribution to New Zealand business.

Adams was named a member of the NZ Order of Merit in 2008 and Maire was made a Distinguished Companion of the NZ Order of Merit in the same year.

They met recently in Auckland to discuss the way forward for the two New Zealand companies and to seal the arrangement.

Maire said: "Fusion Electronics is honoured to be working with New Zealand's leading boat manufacturer, especially given the parallels we have in our thinking."
